Privacy Policy
Effective: April 1, 2026
1. Data Controller
LevelFluent LLC ("LevelFluent," "we," "us") is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at kevin@levelfluent.com.
2. What We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to deliver our courses and communicate with you:
- Name and email address -- provided when you enroll in a course, sign up for our mailing list, or contact us
- Payment information -- processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our systems. Stripe handles this data under their own privacy policy.
- Mailing address -- only if you provide it voluntarily (for example, for course completion gifts)
- Course participation data -- such as attendance on live calls and engagement in the community, used to support your learning experience
- Communications -- messages you send us via email or community channels
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels, or any form of behavioral tracking on our website. The only cookie our site sets is a functional cookie to remember that you have already downloaded our framework guide, so we do not prompt you again.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver course materials, community access, and live calls
- Communicate with you about your enrollment, course updates, and related information
- Send you emails you have opted into (such as the AI Fluency Framework or course announcements)
- Process payments
- Improve our courses based on participation patterns and feedback
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For individuals whose data is protected under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance -- processing your name, email, and payment information is necessary to deliver the course you purchased
- Consent -- when you sign up for our mailing list or download our framework guide, you consent to receiving emails from us. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email.
- Legitimate interest -- we may use course participation data to improve our courses, where this does not override your rights
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our business. Each processes data under their own privacy policies:
- Stripe (payment processing) -- processes payment information when you purchase a course
- Kit (ConvertKit) (email marketing) -- stores your name and email address for email communications
- Slack (community) -- used for course community interaction. Your Slack profile information is governed by Slack's privacy policy.
- Zoom or Google Meet (live calls) -- used for weekly group calls. Call recordings may be stored and shared with enrolled students.
- Netlify (website hosting) -- hosts our website. Server logs may include IP addresses and are governed by Netlify's privacy policy.
6. International Data Transfers
Our third-party service providers are primarily based in the United States. By using our services, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy:
- Course enrollment data -- retained for the duration of your course access plus 2 years for follow-up and support
- Email subscriber data -- retained until you unsubscribe
- Payment records -- retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access -- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction -- request that we correct inaccurate data
- Deletion -- request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Portability -- request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format
- Objection -- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent -- where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at kevin@levelfluent.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the EEA and believe your data protection rights have not been addressed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Children
LevelFluent courses are designed for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
